Our History
Kwabre Area Rural Bank PLC obtained its certificate to commence business on 11th June 2019 and was incorporated on 27th June 2019, with an authorized share of 100,000,000 as a Public Limited Liability Company (PLC) to operate.
The Bank was issued with a licence by the Bank of Ghana to operate as a Rural Bank on 11th February 2020 with licence number 236. The Bank started its rural banking operational activities on the 31st of August, 2020 from the Head Office at Kodie in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
The core activity of the Bank involves;
- Provision of Current and Deposit Accounts for our customers
- Provision of Savings and Time Deposit Accounts for our customers
- Provide intermediation services to other Financial Institutions in the country including acceptance and discounting of bills of exchange
- Accept securities for safe custody
- Provision of credit facilities to individuals, farmers, farmer groups, artisans, merchants, cooperative organizations and other SMEs located in the bank’s catchment areas.
- Undertake other commercial and financial activities in furtherance of the Bank’s operations.
